Dental Assistants can now Administer Anesthesia #shorts #podcast #dentist

🔥Breaking News🔥

Minnesota has officially become the first state to allow dental assistants to administer local anesthesia.

Requirements to become licensed to administer anesthesia include:
1. Practicing for a minimum of one year
2. Completing a 45-hour training program

This is a huge change in the world of dentistry. Many believe it’s in response to the fact that dentists are struggling to find support personnel in their practice. It’s thought that allowing different roles to get more advanced certifications could not only help with career advancement, but also fill gaps within the practice, offering more support and patient care.
What do you think? Do you expect to see this change in your state?
